Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using our services. By enrolling in any Equanimity Maths class or membership you agree to these terms.

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Equanimity Maths services including live classes, 1-to-1 tuition, 2-to-1 tuition and The Vault membership. Equanimity Maths is operated by Tadgh Hanrahan, a sole trader registered in Ireland. By using our services you agree to be bound by these terms. Last updated: July 2026.

1. Our services

Equanimity Maths provides online Maths tuition for Irish secondary school students from 2nd Year through to 6th Year, covering Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate at both Higher and Ordinary Level. Our services include:

  • Small group classes — maximum 5 students per session, delivered live via Zoom
  • 2-to-1 tuition — two students per session, delivered live via Zoom
  • Individual 1-to-1 tuition sessions — delivered live via Zoom
  • The Vault — a monthly premium membership providing access to resources, class recordings and past papers
  • Summer tuition — individual and small group sessions available during summer months

2. Booking and enrolment

All class bookings and enrolments are subject to availability. Places in small group classes are limited to 5 students and are allocated on a first come first served basis upon receipt of payment or confirmed interest.

  • A booking is only confirmed upon receipt of full payment or written confirmation from Equanimity Maths
  • Equanimity Maths reserves the right to refuse a booking at its discretion
  • Students registering interest for September classes will be contacted to confirm their place and arrange payment before classes commence
  • Zoom links will be sent to the email address provided at the time of booking

3. Pricing and payment

All prices are displayed on our website and are inclusive of any applicable charges. Current pricing is as follows:

  • Small group classes — €120 per student per month (September to May, includes recordings of any missed class)
  • 2-to-1 tuition — €200 per student per month (September to May, includes recordings of any missed class)
  • Summer 1-to-1 sessions — €50 per hour
  • Larger group classes (coming soon) — €20 per student per session
  • The Vault membership — €24.99 per month, billed monthly

All payments are processed securely via Stripe. By providing payment details you authorise Equanimity Maths to charge the applicable fees. Equanimity Maths reserves the right to update pricing with reasonable notice.

4. Cancellation and refund policy

We understand that circumstances can change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • Cancellations made with more than 24 hours notice will receive a full refund or credit towards a future session
  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will not be eligible for a refund except in exceptional circumstances at our discretion
  • If Equanimity Maths cancels a class for any reason a full refund or alternative session will be offered
  • The Vault membership can be cancelled at any time — access continues until the end of the current billing period and no further charges will be made
  • Refunds are processed via Stripe and may take 5-10 business days to appear in your account

5. The Vault membership

The Vault is a monthly rolling subscription with no minimum term or contract. By subscribing you agree to the following:

  • Your subscription will automatically renew each month until cancelled
  • You can cancel at any time via your account settings or by contacting us at equanimitymaths@equanimitymaths.com
  • Content in The Vault is for personal use only and may not be shared, distributed or reproduced without permission
  • Equanimity Maths reserves the right to update, add or remove content from The Vault at any time
  • Access to The Vault is personal and non-transferable

6. Student conduct

Equanimity Maths is committed to providing a safe, respectful and productive learning environment for all students. By enrolling in our classes you agree that your child will:

  • Treat the tutor and fellow students with respect at all times
  • Attend sessions on time with the necessary materials
  • Not record, share or reproduce any class content without prior written permission
  • Use Zoom and any other platforms in accordance with their terms of service

Equanimity Maths reserves the right to remove a student from a class without refund in cases of serious or persistent misconduct.

7. Intellectual property

All content created by Equanimity Maths including class notes, resources, recordings, past paper solutions and website content is the intellectual property of Tadgh Hanrahan and Equanimity Maths. You may not reproduce, distribute, share or use this content for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

8. Limitation of liability

Equanimity Maths provides tuition services to the best of its ability but cannot guarantee specific academic results or exam grades. Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for any technical issues outside our control including internet outages, Zoom disruptions or device failures.

9. Privacy and data protection

Your personal data is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at equanimitymaths.com/faq. By using our services you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to these terms

Equanimity Maths reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. We will notify existing customers of any significant changes by email. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from the use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
